You’re not going to see this on realtor.com, realestate.yahoo.com, realestate.msn.com or any other sites that deal with real estate. Thats probably because of advertising spending.
The number of previously owned homes on the market rose last month to the highest level in more than 19 years, while sales fell for the second-consecutive month, raising concerns that a housing bubble might be about to burst.
But many economists said the increase in homes for sale was actually a sign that the housing market was gradually cooling rather than threatening to implode.

Nevada is once again the fastest growing state. You go girl.
For the 19th straight year, Nevada was the fastest growing state. Its population rose 3.5 percent for the year ended at mid-year in 2005.
It even moved up a notch – from No. 18 to No. 17 – in the list of top 20 most populous states, bumping Missouri down a notch.
The population in Arizona, the No. 2 fastest growing state, grew at just under 3.5 percent.
The other fastest growing states were Idaho (up 2.4%), Florida (up 2.3%) and Utah (up 2%), in the top five.
Then came Georgia (up 1.7%), Texas (up 1.7%), North Carolina (up 1.7%), Delaware (up 1.6%) and Oregon (up 1.4%).
With the exception of Georgia, Idaho and Texas, much of the increase in the populations of the fastest growing states was due to migration of residents from elsewhere.
The Census findings are in keeping with a trend among home buyers and home owners to move away from high-priced markets to more moderately priced ones.
–Now how will this effect consumerism and retail development, housing, etc.?

CBS and NBC are introducing replays of your favorite shows for 99cents hot off the back of iTunes payment model.
“All networks are expected to strike deals to make their shows available outside traditional channels in the coming years.
For the networks, these deals could be the first real opportunity to move away from almost complete dependency on advertising and toward subscriber revenue that has created their greatest competition over the last 30 years — cable television.”

I predict this will be a great source of income for these networks and boom goes the dynamite. I will personally NEVER use the 99cent service, but the people without TiVO or other PVR’s and such will.
I’m gonna say the pie chart of usage will skew heavily to Soap Opera watchers, followed by prime time junkies, then the small, but steady group of people that still watch Wheel of Fortune religiously.

I was watching Mad Money, Jim Cramer’s show not too long ago, Google’s stock price was around the $300 dollar level. Jim Cramer was calling for a price target of $350.
We came close to that price today at the highs.
I have every confidence that GOOG will hit those extra 4 bucks. Cramer is close to Calling It.

Well I Called It and I forgot that I Called It too.
If you took my advice on 4-30-2005 that the stock market was at a bottom then you made some nice money.

I think we are about to rally again.

I Called It. On 6-4-2003, I said, “Is Martha’s Business doomed since it relies almost entirely on her image? I don’t think so. The stock price was actually up today on news of the indictment. Probably because this incident is behind them.” ICI frequenter, Meliz, also agreed.
Martha Stewart Post
MSO Martha Stewart’s Omnimedia stock price has doubled in price. The chart looks poised to go higher today.
The Apprentice part deux, Martha Stewart’s version, is following the same hyper promo format as The Original Apprentice with Donald Trump, where every week the groups were promoting some asset of Donald Trump (see Trump Ice).
This season they get to promote Martha Related stuff. Personally I think the Martha Stewart Loft is cooler. That view with the wall of windows is quite nice.

So is the H5N1 Avian Bird Flu real or just a media hoax ala Y2K?
Mr. Pink thinks so.
Mr. Pink’s Prediction
Bloggers around the net think the blogosphere will have to take part in helping prevent the pandemic from happening by educating the public and keeping communication lines open and free. Bloggers can do this safely from the comfort of their homes thus keeping you (assuming you are reading said blogs in your chair in front of your computer) out of harms way. Just wait till you need to purchase toilet paper.
A slightly smaller crisis, but not less important, will be when the entire blogger community and the readers on the net finally unstick their butts from their computer chairs and get up at the same time to purchase toilet paper at the store. Can you imagine the long “bread lines,” except this will be for TP.
Some bloggers are predicting that a major economic crisis will happen if the bird flu materializes, setting us back to the stone age. If this is true, we will all be wiping our asses with leaves.

The FBI has warned New York officials of a specific terrorist threat to New York and/or its subway.
I don’t think anyone called it, but the stock market has been selling off hard the last two days and it may be related.
New York City’s subway system was put under heightened alert Thursday after officials received information from the FBI about a “specific threat,” Mayor Michael Bloomberg said.
A well-placed U.S. military official told CNN on Thursday that the same intelligence also led to a raid against suspected al Qaeda operatives in Iraq.
There were indications that a terrorist attack on New York’s subway system is possible “in the coming days,” said New York Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly.
