I went to my first ever baseball game last night. I got to see someone I'd never heard of (Jim Thome) get his 400th home run and spent about two hours waiting for the rain to stop so that the game could continue.
I have to say that it was nicely enjoyable being there at the stadium. The atmosphere was really good and those places are bloody massive. I still don't think I would watch it on TV or listen to a game on the radio but if I was ever offered tickets again I would definately go.
All in all, baseball gets a thumbs up from me :)

Good to hear that we have a potential convert! You should try playing it. It is cliche in America that the hardest thing to do in sports is to hit a round ball with a round bat. I can't quantify this, but I can comment: I agree. It is bloody difficult. BTW I am off to ball practice in about two hours.

Depends on whether it's underhand or overhand pitch :)
(although underhand is only actually used in softball, so it's a moot point)

I don't like baseball, but I'm sure it is pretty fun to go to a game.

Smart people like baseball.

Okay, call me names for not liking something. I know many people who don't like baseball and are probably a lot smarter than you! :D

I doubt it.
You see, I am a deity of the First Order. So THERE!

Actually, Cobra, since baseball is a proper object to humanity (i.e. an object that necessarily completes the human essence), those people who do not like baseball act contrary to their natural inclination, and this can only be explained by a deficiency in intellect. Education is the key.
You see, the natural drive toward baseball can be described in non-religious terms, no matter how hard it is to avoid reference to the divine status of baseball ...

Not to mention the obvious symbolism of a small, hard round thing being hit with a long, hard stick.

It makes me wonder what Kurt is doing with his "stick." And if it hurts.

It only hurts if it's your first time...
