Post Nothing Beyond Your Human Life

Quote:
Lets get hypothetical.

Are you going to be upset if there is no heaven?

Assumptions:
Lets say you die.
You believe there is some sort of an after life.
You have 5 seconds of conciousness after you've died.
Once those 5 seconds are over you're done. No more after life.

Questions:
Are you going to be pissed off?
Would you have lived your life differently?

Perhaps the question should be put positively: what if you die, and find out that there is an afterlife?

In this case, we don't need that hypothetical 5 seconds of cnss, which in any case severely hamper any materialist theory of death ...

There is no way our conciousness will just come to end. It doesn't make sense we will just sleep forever, because consciousness has to last forever. All life forms in the universe maybe of one mind, meaning that there probably is just one unifying force or oversoul (or God) and when we die most likelly we will just continue our journey, most likelly reincarnate to some point in the universe. It may not be Earth!

I just can't imagine just dying. Oru conciousness and awareness can't just disappear forever, it doesn't make too much sense to me.
