Yeh you can submit a story and when it gets approve it will go here. The only thing is that I am the only that has the posting rights to take front page story and make automatically post to the forums.
Some ICI users, ppf and ferreter have author accounts and they can post there (but have yet to do so?  ). Author accounts allow more access to more news/stories. I can't cover it all  .If you want one, let me know.

I think I would likely use it as much as pp_f and Ferreter, so I'm not sure that would make much of a difference.
